Another 100 steps

Having lived in Edinburgh for so long one forgets that you always seem to be climbing up or going down a large hill. With all the bridges and high buildings disguising these hills you often are tackling what it essentially a steep ridge in increments. This photo shows one such incremented climb, this narrow close is pretty steep but there are stairs with many different levels that you can stop and take in the view. I was standing in Cockburn St so after climbing to this level you could potentially pause and look in a few shop windows before continuing up the rest of the hill to the Royal Mile. Anway enough babbling the good news is I'm off for the next couple days, time for a glass of wine!
