Range!

Haven't been to the range in ages, but it's always good to take friends from the UK to it.

Everything about this experiance in the UK is utterly illegal, from buying ammo, to handling ammo, handling a gun - let alone firing the thing!

Always interesting to hear the first thoughts people have. At first, they can be very anti-gun. But doesn't take them long to shed that idea and they are blasting away at some paper target, at least thinking to themselves "make my day".

One thing that they discovered really quickly was how badly Hollywood portrays guns. The real things are very different, the noise is deafening, the recoil is unexpected, and so on. The whole idea that you could run along and shoot with any accuracy one handed is soon dismissed.
