“When angels are near feathers appear”

According to some the appearance of a white feather is a sign of an angel nearby.   I found three small soft fluffy feathers in the garden today but am not sure whether there were any angels nearby, unless a very helpful engineer who diagnosed a heating problem and two collectors for different charities count.  This is very unusual as it was a Friday afternoon and we are slightly off the normal beaten track for collectors.

In WW1 presenting someone with a white feather was a symbol that the person was regarded as a coward but now it has often become a symbol of courage, faith and protection.  I think I was lucky to find three especially as there was no sign of bird kill nearby.
