Alter Ego

Another adventure day with sootyh. We have talked about looking at this site for a while and decided it would be best to go in daytime!!

The wooded site holds the eeriest of woods I have encountered in a long time. Many of the trees carry scribings made by the same individual over a period of approx 1 year as far as we can tell. She is a local girl who apparently turned recluse. We believe that she went missing in Dec 2010 and was living rough in these woods in a tent until approx Dec 2011. Some scribings are song lyrics others seem a tad more random but all seem to be her alter ego "fox" talking/writing to her formal self.

The site seemed non descript upon arrival but after spending some time in the area and reading/photographing the trees it has had quite an impact on me.

Mental health is just as important as physical health, I wish there was less stigma associated with the former!
