Random is back

Today has been a shit day of shit news. 

First News of the day : The TGV is going to cut up the country side in front of our house. No more quite country walks and of course no one will want to buy or stay in our B+B. However the second puts it all in to perspective....

I have a wonderful friend who, with her Hubby and 2 kids, is building a eco/traditional house in a national park. A fantastic project with its own source of energy ( water) powering under floor heating, hand-made stone roof and rest all in stone and lime-stone.
Their house caught fire this morning, luckily she had left with the kids on the school run, but the house has literary gone up in smoke along 10 years of work all done by her Hubby.
