Gum Leaves
What an amazing night. When I woke up this morning the first thing I did was race outside and check the rain gauge. We had 80mm of rain fall overnight and it was torrential (that's just over 3 inches). I can't remember a reading like that since I've lived at Wombat Hollow.
The upside of the storm is a) the water tank is overflowing and b) the bush looked magnificent. Time to practise with the macro lens again and I just loved the water drops on the gum leaves. Such a delicate end to an incredibly boisterous night.
I have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response to my dear little Wombat. How exciting to think that a little character just minding its own business chomping on its Carrots and Kumera in a wildlife park in OZ could reach out and touch blippers in so many countries in the world. I have to say when I look at the little fella I can't help but smile. Thanks so much for your kind words my friends and it just confirms what I think about you all.
