Imperfect Fractals in Nature
This past week, I happened upon a book about fractals in nature (for kids- as math generally is not my forte) and after came across this orchard that I have walked past in every season. Seeing it now with different, fresh eyes thanks to a child's dose of fractal theory, I paused to admire the "art" of it all. Although every patterns varies, it's easier to see the patterns of the branches in winter as the trees are bare. Thank you winter, thank you fractals!
