Dance of the Crane Reflections
Under constant construction (or destruction as I call it) the 520 bridge is being widened to accommodate more cars to help east the congestion and back up on both of our Lake Washington floating brides. Lake Washington is the fresh water lake that separates much of the east and southeast parts from seattle proper. In my mind it's craziness and will only cause more and more congestion as more an more cars will flow back and forth....when we desperately need MUCH BETTER MASS transit to travel back and forth these directions. But wiser (?) minds prevailed (or corporate oil money) and the new spans for the bridge are taking away part of our beloved wetland areas (minimal impact they tell us....altho waterfowl don't agree and neither do nature earth huggers like me). I walked underneath part of the bridge today and saw these colorful reflections....from the monstrous cranes that were busy helping to built this massive new bridge. Strange how beautiful the reflections are.....coming out of a destructive process going on...I chose to see the beauty in them as I cursed their madness.
Cowboy takes a gentledoglly bow for the stars and heart he received yesterday...and he did get a short outing today. I'm still a bit "gun shy" from being taken out a bit over a month ago at the dog park . Onward drones to the weekend coming up quickly and maybe some sun on Sunday they say!!!
