The cutest micrometer stage EVER

This shot was taken at the SPIE Photonics West conference exhibition. This is a micrometer stage - you can use it to move samples in a controlled way over a teeny tiny distance. It's pretty adorably tiny, isn't it? I used my wedding ring for scale.

With the 8 hour time difference, it was a bit confusing to work out which photo to post for today's entry. I am currently back home on my sofa, having had dinner and an extremely long shower. My stinky travel clothes are clean and drying, and I'm trying to work out if I'm hungry or tired...

Oh yeah! My talk on the last day of the conference went well.
