Sixties world

Walked a slightly different way into work this morning and came round a corner to be confronted with this vista. The four buildings were part of what was called the rape of George Sq when the university replaced the Georgian terraced houses with several of these big blocks. Recent refurbishment has added the glass bits. I thought the coherence of the design, unbroken view, the light and reflections gave a real sense of what those original architects had planned and how good it looks despite its detractors.
I was expecting a relatively quiet day but it exploded and was non stop mayhem. I am SO looking forward to my weekend off, but just wondering/worrying that I'm coming down with a cold.....oh please no!
