Tranquility
Thursday
A lovely late afternoon walk to the lake at Samoreau, where I was surprised to see there appeared to be a thin film of ice over much of the central area of the lake. Whilst we have had some cold days, I wouldn't have thought it was enough to freeze a decent expanse of water. There was much bird life in evidence as usual - mallards, swans, coots and Canada geese. I particularly liked this shot of a swan gliding toward me over the smooth water.
