Snowy Farr

Snowy Farr Sculpture is a colourful memorial to the late Walter "Snowy" Farr MBE, a prominent Cambridge character who raised tens of thousands of pounds for charities supporting people with sight loss. Snowy Farr Sculpture is based in Market Square, Cambridge outside the Guildhall not far from Petty Cury, where the eccentric wowed shoppers and tourists for decades with his cartload of animals.

Snowy, who lived in Oakington, is thought to have raised about £125,000 for three charities which supported people with sight difficulties – the Cambridgeshire Society for the Blind and Partially Sighted, Guide Dogs for the Blind and Camsight.
