Cynthia's birthday

One of the ladies in our department turns 60 next week. Since my birthday was the last one, it was up to me to organise something.

We had a whip round and everyone wrote little messages on pretty paper  folded up and put in a kilner jar along with some strawberry chews. Around the jar are lots of bags of jelly sweets and finally a scroll of benefits she might be entitled to at 60, tied with a pink ribbon.

The whole collection is in a lovely basket, covered in pretty cellophane and tied with a pretty pink ribbon
