Carapace of the common cuttlefish

the sea washed up a lot of those...The skeleton of the common cuttlefish looks spectacular. It is the carapace of these animals and if they die, it is all that remains. When you walk along the beach you can often find washed up shields. Most people know it as sea foam that is hung in bird cages. The birds love it. the shield of a cuttlefish is soft and birds can pick up the lime off easily. By the extra calcium, they'll do solid eggs(google find)
