Fixed
Had a fixing things day today. Countless trips back and forth to school with kids and exams, fixed the kitchen lights, sorted the broadband, all windows cleaned, shopping done, tea cooked and (drum roll) fixed the PC.
Time for a celebration with a glass of water - plonked in front of the monitor.
Had fun creating a striped background in PS. Created a new file using the same dimensions as the screen (in pixels 1080X1920 in my case) then sized the image the same as the screen in mm (270mm X 475mm) and hey presto the proportions are correct.
This must be the same technique that David Hockney used to make sure his iPad paintings would have the correct proportions when printed. Here is a
link to how this type of image is made if anyone is interested in photographing glasses of water in front of their PC.
