Lake Tahoe

My hubby was working in Reno,  so I decided to go sight seeing. I checked out some birding sites near Reno and Carson City, but the lakes were  low and there were few birds; so I decided to go the extra distance to see Lake Tahoe. I had not been there for many years and it was just as clear and beautiful as I remembered it. I had to drive over a mountain range with a 7000 feet summit and I was grateful there was little snow. It has been a year of little rain or snow. I wonder if they will have a drought situation this summer. 

I hiked up or down every trail looking for great views of the lake........and hoping to remove any pounds I may have gained at the buffet last night. :-)))))    I was a little nervous since I was alone and I keep seeing signs on the road warning of "bear crossing".....but I didn't even see a squirrel or deer, let alone a bear!
