Found sitting under a layer of dust and not in working condition, but not totally derelict as it could be repaired to working condition if required.

This is part of a lift motor that sits idly in our house loft – unused and out of action since before we purchased our home.

A previous owner fitted this lift for his arthritic wife so she had access to the rooms on the upper floor. For us, the body of the lift provides extra storage space, but as we age, perhaps one day, the motor will be repaired and once again this lift will be used instead of the stairs.

For the moment, it sits, DERELICT.
