Day 37 - Mountain or Molehill?

Today we climbed a Mole Hill. Snow conditions have been quite unusual in the Alps this season with very high incidence of avalanches, so we have been looking for little adventures away from the steep and avalanche prone slopes with good snow conditions for ski touring. Today's adventure saw us climb a mountain called the Mole. We climbed about 1000 meters to the summit and had great views from the top but this is my favourite shot of the day. As were were climbing we could scope out our descent and feel the snow as we went. This meant a great ski down with no surprises and definitely no danger of avalanche.

Every day skiing is a good day, especially when you earn your descent.
