Attack from Below

In a series of four photos the yellow-headed verdin moved to the right and chased thi hummer away. The last of the series shows him eating away atop the perch on the right side.

All of the birds are greedily sucking up the sugar water at the rate of nearly one cup per day. The mix is 1/3 cup of sugar plus one cup of water and they love it.
