Sprucing up Tesco

Our Tesco Metro is one of the ones earmarked for closure. It seems an odd choice - the store is always busy and it's pretty vast for a Metro. I suppose it's suffering from high business rates and the fact that this modestly sized market town also has a Sainsburys, Iceland, Morrisons, M&S Simply Food and a Lidl. Hopefully these stores will provide some employment opportunities for the staff losing their jobs. I don't know what enterprise would be likely to fill this large unit and turn a profit - it's too big for the charity shops/coffee chains/vintage-cum-boutiquey lifestyle stores which are gradually filling the smaller empty shops.

In other news, the girl has another cold, the kind with hacking coughs and wracking sobs. Poor little thing.
