Entry forbidden .....

... unless you're part of a guided tour of the Rotherhithe Shaft.  The four foot high entrance to the shaft can be seen above the temporary scaffolding.  The hole was dug by the Brunels when they built the first tunnel in the world beneath a navigable river.  We were in the right place at the right time to gain a precarious entry to this historic site.  Fantastic day with friends.
