Zeroing In
I didn't think I would ever have the opportunity for hummingbird photos, but today was my lucky day! We went up into the Sierras to the village of Benito Juárez, where we hiked, relaxed, ate fresh trout and local mushrooms, and enjoyed constant sunshine and the bluest skies I've seen!
In front of the cabins was a line of these Red Hot Pokers, which are obviously a hummingbird favorite, as several different birds came to drink the nectar. They were large and actually stayed in one spot for several seconds, long enough for me to get some good shots.
