Clarity

Finally clear skies and full on sunshine.

Ice and snow melting into tiny rivers and back to washing paws and tummies. Anyway it feels so incredible good to see the sunshine. Daylight is now getting near 9 hours a day so it's already 3 more hours than during the darkest time of year.

My son started his finals today. He takes it in two parts. It could be devided into 4 at most I think. Today was Listening Comprehension Exam of A-level English. He felt it was easy, so I hope it's a good sign. They used both British and American accents in the exam. Last fall they had Pierre who spoke English with a French accent and that turned out to be difficult to some students. This spring there was no sign of Pierre. :-)

They continue with the rest of English exams in mid March. Now they have a break or eased timetable so they have time to study all the materials. My son also takes history at the same time (different day). The last two subjects he takes spring 16. Back in my day we had to take all the finals same year, same spring. Now the kids have a better chance to concentrate on subjects. I feel very touched that he's reached this point in his life. It's not that long when it was me taking the finals.

Melting snow and ice in the picture.
