The Invitation

I sent out the invitations to my leaving do today, and have started getting the R.S.V.P.s back already.  It's all beginning to feel very real and imminent now.


30 years ago, when I was a trainee Studio Manager, being asked to hand in your headphones and locker key was a euphemism for failing to make the grade and being sacked at the end of your probationary year.
