Going Down..
..on the most glorious of days.
I was going to blip a photo of my partially completed new roof but thought that you might like this more.
The roofers arrived early and started as they meant to go on. The old roof was off by 8.25 and luckily none of the timbers needed to be replaced. They then decided to strip the second roof but we weren't so lucky this time, as the roof consisted of a small section of 4mm plywood, instead of the mandatory 18mm and a very large section of straw and concrete! A modern day equivalent of wattle and daub, which isn't bad considering the house was built in 1968.
They were gone by 3, leaving both roofs in a watertight condition and hopefully it will all be finished by tomorrow.
Mr E was off today, so we took the dogs out together and watched the most amazing sunset.
