A Can of Worms!
I have seen the tower of this building in St Neots for years but never actually found it. I thought it was a church or meeting house. But today I discovered it is called Paines Mill and was in the 19th century a producer of malt extract and they exported Marmite in the 20th century. The Paine Family seemed to have been involved in so much business in St Neots and owned so many mills and pubs that I need to do a bit more research.
Now it provides shelter and training for homeless young people. Glad to see not converted into high end flats yet. I bet that will come, with St Neots being so close to Cambridge.
The square in front of the building is called Phoenix Square which might give hope to the young people staying there.
