The Big Moment

10th September 1997

This picture was found in my inlaws house and completely forgot about it.  A cheesy photo from a cheesy photographer!!  

The day of our wedding was blessed with warm September sunshine.  I think everyone was in the mood for some happiness as people were still reeling from the shock of Diana's death some 10 days earlier.  The funeral had already taken place but people were still talking about it.  Our wedding took place at the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham and we were having our pic taken on the bandstand.  As a child I used to go to this place quite a lot as the gardens were amazing and there was and still is a great play area that even my kids got to enjoy now.  (Teletubbies filmed some of their stuff there!)

The second picture was taken 17 years later in New York on the same day.  A lovely warm September with lots of sunshine.  A wonderful trip with lots of photography moments.  I'm still editing from this trip!!
