Punk Coot

I love the way baby Coots look, all punky and messed up around the face. But they grow up so quickly ! I have been waiting for a while for sunny weather on the Waterside lake, and this evening the light was ideal. I sat there for over half an hour and took about 400 pictures of all the goings on with the Coots and a Moorhen. I was also looking to photograph the Dabchicks, but they proved to be much more reclusive !
