First Bee of the Year

I was really surprised to see blue skies and sunshine when we had been forecast heavy cloud, so I had to be out in it for a while. I'm still really achy from my long walk yesterday so I drove out to the lake and did something I don't usually do....sat on a bench in the sun and watched the birds on the water for a while, it was lovely, I really should do it more often and not be always on the move when I'm out :-))
I thought I had my blip in the bag but when I got home I spotted several bees on the last of the Mahonia flowers....well, I just couldn't resist such a lovely sight........it could even be Summer in this photo  ;-)))
