No time for blip today. Naw. Got the internet back yesterday though - a new flash and very biddy flashing thing called a virginmedia superhub. No ordinary hub. Almost finished that book about the Scottish Enlightenment. It gets more preposterous the further it goes. Somebody writes a thin book musing on his Academic Teaching days and it transforms the way we look at education forever. There's even a chap in the Highlands (Duncan Forbes) who "as early as 1740" had seen that effective roads were the key to advancing the forces of civilisation! Aren't they just. Whit next?
