D-Efficiency
As it was built in 1959, it is hardy surprising that our house does not get a top rating for energy efficiency. However, we had an assessment to qualify to receive a feed in tariff for the electricity being generated by our Solar panels and we needed to achieve a D or above. As you can see we passed muster and in fact, with the panels now installed, it appears that we would have a C rating as opposed to the minimum qualifying rating of D.
A bit different to the A rating that my parents’ flat got when we were selling it though. Just goes to show how buildings have changed over the years.
