Mrs. Cardinal
Here's beautiful Mrs. Cardinal through the window on yet another snowy day.
Well, we're in the cross hairs for another lengthy snowstorm. Boston has had 60 inches/152 cm of snow so far and another 24 inches/60cm could fall in the next two days. That's over 80 inches in the span of 15 days. Non emergency workers are asked not to report to work, the Boston Public Schools are closed the next two days and others are following suit. The Governor just addressed the Commonwealth and he and his Lt. Gov. will be in an emergency bunker directing things for the next day, possibly two. The public transit system is in shambles, but will be supposedly operating on a limited schedule for emergency workers. Yes, this is New England, but we have never experienced such back to back storms with such heavy accumulation. T & G have been told not to report to work, thankfully. I'm waiting to hear about the rest of the family. We are south of Boston and are slated for a bit less, but a huge amount none the less on top of the mountain we have everywhere.
We had a small drip from an ice dam built up on the little bump out roof we have over the kitchen sink. T's brother in law got out our tall ladder, broke up the ice and shoveled the snow off the roof for us this afternoon. The extreme cold and mountains of snow make everything so difficult, but he made it look easy.
I feel back to normal, my back is slowly improving and I'm so glad there is no snowy drive to the train tomorrow!
All hands healing
