Roslin Glen

Seen from Roslin Castle, about 8 miles to the south of Edinburgh, on a walk with D and J. It's an amazing setting and the first castle was built in the late Fourteenth Century or early Fifteenth Century. The present castle is partially ruined, but you can stay there - it's managed by the Landmark Trust. Do take a look - I wouldn't mind a few days there, I can tell you. Rosslyn Chapel of the Da Vinci Code fame is close by.
