Luxulyan Valley
What a beautiful day. Warm, sunny and positively summer like!
We’ve been trekking around in the 'Luxulyan Valley' for most of the day. It’s a great place for a little collie like me. Lots of woods with interesting new smells and lots of water for me to go splish, splash, sploshing in. And today there was quite a bit of mud too?!! The humans didn’t like that!!!
It’s a really interesting place for humans as it’s steeped in history. For example this is the first stone viaduct to be built in Cornwall. It was built between 1839-1842 from local granite to link a horse drawn tramway between Ponts Mill & Molinnis. It consists of 10 arches spanning 200 metres which rise 27 metres from the valley floor. See the humans have learnt something today.
Anyway by 4pm we were all hungry so we went to the 'Kings Arms' in Luxulyan village where the humans wolfed down scampi and chips. And I had to wait until after 6pm, when we got home, to have my dinner.
……………….And now it’s time for an evening chillaxing in front of the TV.
PS - We were first introduced to the 'Luxulyan Valley' by fellow blipper 'Seascapes' in September 2012.
