Auld Acquaintance

It's been such braw days! A friend of mine has been visiting me all the way from Japan, which was for the first time in two years that we met. He and I are friends o' fifteen years' standing and went to the same primary, junior high, and high schools. Literary, 

We twa hae run about the braes, and pou'd the gowans fine; but we've wander'd mony a weary fit, sin' auld lang syne.


Having gone to different universities, we still keep in touch and meet up once in a while. It's a great amount of happiness that I've got a friend for life.
