Shinrin-yoku (森林浴)

When Soozy and I first met I was a woodland dweller and she was a beach lover.
We often joked that our ideal home would look out over a beach but have a forest at the back.
Things seemed to have changed however and Soozy now favours the woods as well. This is good news as I have started a personal photography project exploring the restorative quality of woodlands.
The Japanese have a lovely expression for it, which loosely translates as "forest bathing"
