Banned!

For a Cycling City, Bristol seems strangely ambivalent about the bike.

Or, do I mean polarised?

I've heard colleagues, friends and other acquaintances get borderline rabid when discussing cyclists.

Why do people not get as passionate about reducing the number of car journeys or lowering the accident rate from motor vehicle collisions?

The bike seems to be a pretty good solution to quite a few problems.

Of course the case for is not helped by those lemons who cycle without lights or through red lights but they are the minority.

Enough of soap-boxing.

Oh, one more.. Contrast the great cast iron no cycling sign with the flimsy footpath sign. Fully paid up grumpy old man!

Big house tidy this morning and a walk to the park this afternoon.

It is a beautiful day and there's a hint of spring. Just a hint.
