Male Shoveler Duck

Until you see one as a silhouette you don't believe what a really odd shape this duck's beak is! Such a specialist feeder! Lovely feathers especially on its head, a combination of charcoal & deep purple. The female as usual in the bird world is very drab and mostly brown.
