Reflections on the water

I love water, the rivers and sea. We are so fortunate to live near both. I've just wandered down to the banks of the Waikanae river looking for a photo I might take. I did have a close up of a cheeky sparrow that joined our table at Front Room Cafe back garden this afternoon. 

 Along the river I would have wandered past this photo opportunity most days, not even realising what stillness and beauty is there, I discovered it properly when I scrambled down the bank and got close to the water, and pointed my camera (and my eyes) toward the reflections on the water. 

I have a feeling that some people might say 'isn’t that a lovely photo', then if they visit and walk along the river, the views might seem quite underwhelming! But it seems to me that seeing beauty is something you have to learn to see. Just my little musings :)
