3 of 4 of these islands have limited access.  I was fortunate to be able to visit them with an outing sponsored by the Virginia Beach Winter Wildlife Festival.  It was a bit chilly but worth it.  I had a few other images I liked but I loved the waves in this shot.  We also saw all 3 types of scoters, long tailed ducks, lots of seals (took way too many photos of their heads popping up!), common eider ducks, purple sandpipers…and others.
