"Be sure to get my good side!"

These Red-bellied Woodpeckers have a, nice, distinctive, red... head... and a little blush on their bellies. :-)  

I rarely get a shot that shows off what they are named after.  However, this male made it easy for me to accomplish the belly shot today, as he sat on a branch for quite a while just twisting his head around - this way and that - keeping an eye on another male in the area.  Couldn't ask for a better model!  ;-)
