Invasion!

What a great day! Mooching in Manchester and sunsets in Salford.

I was organised, for once...(sort of) and I'd made a plan...(sort of) for my blipmeet today. Whenever I've been to London LadyG has planned the visit to perfection so I had a hard act to follow. I tried though.....

Checklist:

1. Meet LadyG at station.....check
2. Start off with lunch...check
3. Find interesting exhibition...check
4. Get tram to Lowry for second interesting exhibition...fail
5. Go up viewing platform to see Coronation Street...fail
6. Have drink and cake stop...check
7. Photo walk round Media City...check
8. Organise stunning sunset...check
9. Go back into town for meal...check (eventually)
10. Chat non stop all day...check!

Well, eight out of ten ain't bad.

It is amazing how time really does fly when you are having fun. We went to Manchester Art Gallery for lunch and then had a mooch around. The plan was then to get the tram to the Lowry to see the Ant display, but the trams weren't running...thank goodness I was in the car! 

The Ants were amazing, they are made out of two human skulls. We were just too late to go to the top of the IWM to have a peep down onto Coronation Street though, but the glorious sunset just about made up for that. 

Before we knew it time had run out and LadyG had to return to London. It was a lovely day....now we need to plan the next one ha ha ha.
