A busy day. Work, or play?
Along with a business contact I'd organised a mini corporate hospitality event. "Lunch" at 4pm, followed by Caps v Flyers at 6 - ice hockey, local derby. 7 of us, so not a massive event.
Anyway, these things can be stressful - last minute cancellations or whatever. Well, we were supposed to be 9 originally, then we were 6, then 5, then 7.
The hotel where we ate (across the street from the arena) was great. Best haddock I've eaten in ages. Pinot Grigio to enhance the experience.
We had 5* seats and a 5* game. Caps won 5-2, but it was balanced on a knife edge for 50 minutes out of 60.
My son was one of the 7, and designated driver, so I was able to have several Pinot Grigios.
I Blipped our tickets. Why? Just a reflection on how life changes. Now I would rarely buy a ticket for an event over the counter. Originally I bought 6 tickets for the game online, and printed them off from the email I was sent. The 7th was texted to my iPhone. 100% electronic.
