We hiked the Cahergal Loop which at one point goes through an area called 'The Crimea'. There are several stories about the reason for the name, but none that make too much sense.

Local people have restored one of the small dwellings and this is the latch on the door. Herself has posted a beautiful image of the outside of the building. The name I have used is slightly different from hers - but this is what it said on the door.

This was a very long walk which crosses the high ridge of the Sheep's Head twice and I am now completely knackered.
