Pipe Passage
One of the nice things about Lewes are the twittens - an old Sussex dialect word for an alleyway or passage. Pipe Passage was, I believe, the location of a clay pipe manufacturer. Virginia Woolf bought the Round House, which stands at one end, in 1919 although she never lived in it.
