Outright winner was Madchickenwoman who guessed Portugal on Thursday and then even got the monastery right on Friday!
Mumzi guessed Portugal (at a second go).
Tedwin got the country right but the city wrong.

Thanks to all of you for joining in with my bit of fun and for the comments, stars and hearts.

This is probably not the best photo I took today but I wanted blippers who've never had the pleasure of visiting Lisbon to see it from a birds' eye vew ..... this was taken from the Castelo de Sao Jorge - a fun ride up in an old electric tramcar.
In the far distance (over the River Tagus) you can see (just) the 260' (79 mtr) statue of Christ the King in Almeda .......inspired by a similar statue in Rio de Janeiro (Mr Wiki has a lot of good detail) ....

Leaving tomorrow ...... it's been a wonderful break in a beautiful city ..... but we'll be pleased to see Shadow home and also to go and visit Mum asap ..... ((we've kept in touch by phone and text!)
