Little things

I had given up on the Chinese Witch Hazel.  It had been looking very dead-twig like.

I seem to remember last year, there might have been a little profusion of life.  But there is a tendency to look back and think many things were better than the actually were.  [Need to check the photographic evidence.]

After the recent very wintry spell, it has come out in flower.  Not many, but enough.  Wait for the perfume now.

These little things are important.
