Fireman's pole

We had a slow morning getting ourselves together but I decided we were going to go out to one of the big parks for the afternoon. Euan chose Hazelhead so we headed there and scooted from the car park to the park.
We played for an hour then Euan asked for something to eat so we went to the cafe for a panini.euan, tea and cake. We shared it all before going back to play for another 1.5 hours. Rhona was terribly irritable by the end, absolutely exhausted but refused to let herself sleep in the car, pulling some funny faces in the process of trying to stay awake! Stopped at Tesco for some shopping before heading home for tea. The children surprised me by eating a fair amount of their chicken and chorizo stew with rice. Euan even declared "it's quite nice mummy" which is a lovely change from his usual "this doesn't look so nice" before even trying it! To be fair, even when he says that, he tends to still eat atleast half. Early bedtime soon, Rhona is snuggling in my lap watching cbeebies quiet which means she is exhausted, she never sits still otherwise!
