Ferry ride
Have been very busy so apologies for not having posted. Dropped my daughter in Plymouth as she was going walking with friends on Dartmoor. Caught ferry back to Cornwall and realised that even when I lived here full time I don't think I have ever taken a photo on or of the ferry. This ferry was so much a part of our lives for many years. My daughter was almost born on it! They had to make two cars back off to fit the ambulance on that day and she was born 15 mins after leaving the ferry! For the trip to hospital for the birth of one of my sons they had to fire up a ferry that wasn't due in service for another hour! we must have spent hours (maybe adds up to days) waiting on one side or other for the ferry. The alternative is a 20 mile drive round to the bridge to cross the River Tamar. We often choose this alternative as it means no waiting and it's a very pretty drive.
