Driving At Night --- Not Much Fun!

We visited some friends tonight in Vancouver WA, quite a drive when it's pouring rain and dark out.  The older I get, the more I just do not like driving at night.  I think this photo illustrates the glare perfectly...add in pouring rain and it's just not any fun!

We did have a wonderful dinner.  Jackie is an amazing cook.  We enjoyed the fruits of their summer labor.  They take their boat up to Alaska every year and fish, filling their freezers for the year.  Tonight we had a shrimp salad, and a tasty fish stew, accompanied by baking powder cheesy biscuits, and topped off with a pear cake.  So much for eating light :)
